Dr. Stephan Ogenstad is President Statogen Consulting (www.statogen.com), Wake Forest, NC, a biostatistics consulting company.
Dr. Ogenstad was a founder and Managing Partner of Innovalyst during 2008. He served as statistical advisor to members of the Nobel Prize committee of Medicine and Physiology, and was previously, VP of Biometrics at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in MA. He has 25 years of experience with major pharmaceutical companies and distinguished university hospitals from around the world. Dr. Ogenstad earned a PhD in Statistics, University of Stockholm, and worked as a professor of statistics at the Dept. of Statistics, University of Stockholm. He is a member of the International Advisory Committee of the UNC at Greensboro, and is President of NC Chapter of the American Statistical Association, and Program Chair for Statistical Consulting for ASA.
He lectured in experimental design, drug development and in other areas of biostatistics at the Karolinska Institute and the Swedish Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Stockholm, Sweden. He is also a frequent presenter at international conferences.
Dr. Ogenstad has been the president of the Swedish Society for Medical Statistics, council member of the Swedish Statistical Association, council member and co-founder of the European Federation of Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry (EFSPI), and chair of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, Biostatistics and Data Management.
During the past 25 years, he has held senior executive positions in nonclinical and clinical biostatistics and CDM with AstraZeneca, Parexel International Corp, Amgen, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Ogenstad was the lead statistician to the filing of 32 NDA/BLA/IDE submissions in Europe, USA and Japan. He has more than 80 publications, books, and presentations in biostatistics and medicine.

Dr. Giovanna Borini is a professor, researcher and entrepreneur. She graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Master's and Doctorate degrees from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (USP). She has international experience gained in a doctoral internship at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology-Industrial Pharmacy Lab of the University of Basel - Switzerland, in 2006. Dr. Hamid Reza Jamshidi holds a MSc in Medical Toxicology and a PhD in Toxicology & Pharmacology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Dr. Awanish Mishra is serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. He has obtained his M. Pharm (Pharmacology) from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar after qualifying GATE-2005 & 2006. He then joined PhD program in Pharmacology at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University, Patiala and served as ICMR-Senior Research Fellow. After completion of his PhD he joined NIPER, Raebareli. He is life time member of Indian Pharmacological Society, Indian Academy of Neuroscience, Laboratory Animal Science Association of India, Italo-Latin American Society of Ethnomedicine and associate member of Society for Neuroscience. He has been recipient of many awards and honours including 1st Prize in one week training program for Analytical Technique and Instrumentation at NIPER, SAS Nagar, GATE qualified (2005 and 2006). The focus of Dr. Mishra's research includes understanding the pathogenesis of neurological disease (especially epilepsy) and neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson Disease), and exploring novel therapeutic targets for their management. He is focused on how altered metal homeostasis is involved in neurodegeneration by monitoring neurochemical, molecular and histological changes and exploring novel therapeutic strategies for its management. He is also working on copper induced neurotoxicity and its management, specifically exploring novel approaches for the management for Wilson’s disease.
Dr. Hossam S El-Sawy is working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Egyptian Russian University, Badr City, Cairo, Egypt. His master practical work was focused on handling the niosomal encapsulation of amikacin sulphate aminoglycoside antibiotic for enhancing its efficacy and safety where was conducted in the National Research Center, Cairo, Egypt. As a PhD student, he processed a niosomal study for anticancer delivery optimization concerning adenocarcinoma remediation and cytotoxicity in vitro profile study using Box-Behnken design. He was recently awarded the PhD of Pharmaceutics from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. His main research direction particularized in pharmaceutical and nanotechnology research topics. His recent participation was focused on establishing the research center in Faculty of Pharmacy, Egyptian Russian University with the cooperation of his colleagues of the different Faculty departments, for the objective of planning a multidisciplinary projects which will serve many pharmaceutical and medicinal applications in the next few years.
