Dr. Aguiar-Yamaguchi is a digestive surgeon who also works as a teaching assistant and research fellow. Her Ph.D studies were dedicated to ileal transposition and its effect and modification of the bowel's microanatomy. 

Dr Brian P. Mangum holds an MD, PhD in Public Health Epidemiology, an MSc in Medical Anthropology, and a BA in Liberal Arts.  He has a keen interest in all aspects of general practice/family medicine as related to both clinical practice and medical education, with a particular interest in behavioural science and medical psychology; the prevention, control and treatment of non-communicable disease, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes; and infectious diseases, including tropical diseases such as leptospirosis, dengue, and malaria.

Dr C. Rajeswaran (Raj) currently works as a consultant physician in Diabetes, Obesity & Endocrinology and is the clinical lead for obesity at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, United Kingdom. He is also the advisor for simplyweight Ltd, which a global specialist weight management organisation. He also runs the reputed ‘The London Obesity Clinic’ at Harley Street, London

He has a number of publications and presentations to his credit. He is also involved in obesity related research and supervises PhD students. He is international speaker and has authored books and book chapters related to obesity. He founded and chairs the National Diabesity Forum in 2008. National Diabesity Forum provides a network for health care professionals involved in the management of Diabesity. Raj is involved in both local and international charity work, predominantly to help people with weight problem.

Zaher Toumi  is a bariatric and Upper GI Surgery Consultant. He works both in the NHS (County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust) and privately (Washington Spire Hospital). He completed my training in General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery in the North West of England (Manchester and Lancashire) in 2014. He was privileged to work in outstanding UGI units in Greater Manchester, Sheffield, Preston and Doncaster. 

He then undertook a fellowship in minimally invasive Bariatric Surgery at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. This is one of the oldest bariatric units in North America.

He has an extensive experience in Bariatric Surgery (gastric bypass, duodenal switch, sleeve gastrectomy and revisional bariatric surgery) and in upper Gastrointestinal Surgery (esophageal and gastric cancer surgery including minimally invasive, antireflux surgery, paraesophageal hernia surgery and achalasia surgery).

He also has an excellent experience in General Surgery (Gallbladder, Biliary and hernia surgery) and emergency Surgery.  He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). He has an MD from Damascus University and a Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. He is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

He have been involved in teaching and training undergraduates (medical, nursing) and postgraduates (residents, senior house officers and registrars) in England and Canada.
