Dr. Ashish Joshi holds a MBBS in Medicine and Surgery, a MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and a PhD in Public Health Informatics. He has worked in various positions in the public health field and he currently holds the position of Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Professor of Population Health Informatics and City University of New York.

Dr. Abbas Smiley is a Doctor of Medicine and also holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology. He has worked concurrently as a physician and in the academia research field for over 20 years. He is currently completing his PhD in Epidemiology at Indiana University, where he completes research and teaches undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Dr. Gajanan Bhat holds a PhD from the University of Georgia. He is a clinical research and development executive with over 17 years of experience in drug, device and imaging diagnostic agent development and a proven track record of successful execution of clinical development and post-marketing activities in early stage and pivotal clinical trials leading to NDA submissions, approvals and market launch. He has been the lead for biostatistics, programming, and data managing groups with many companies in the United States. He is currently the Vice President of Biostatistics, Data Management and Medical Writing at Spectrum Pharmaceuticals in CA, USA. 

Dr. Zicker is a former senior staff of the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR/WHO) and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) with 20+ years of consultancy experience in a wide range of clinical epidemiology research and implementation projects in communicable diseases across South America, Africa and Asia. He has extensive strategic and managerial experience in research and capacity strengthening programs, project portfolios and networks.

Dr. Wu received her B.Sc. in Computational Mathematics and Applied Software from Minzu University of China (1999), M.Sc. in Probability from Beijing Normal University (2002), and Ph.D. in Statistics from University of Alberta (2008). Her PhD thesis was awarded the Pierre-Robillard Award by SSC (Statistical Society of Canada) as the best doctoral thesis in probability or statistics defended at a Canadian University in 2007. She joined University of Calgary in 2007 as an Assistant Professor and was tenured and promoted to Associate Professor in 2013. Dr. Wu holds Discovery Grants from NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) since 2008.

Dr. Ilker Ercan is a Professor of Biostatistics in the department of Biostatistics in the Medical Faculty at Uludag University. He graduated from the Uludag University with a Ph.D. and M.S. in Biostatistics and Anadolu University with a B.S. in Statistics. He has experience in the analysis of several types of data sets. He has published many articles on statistical methods and clinical research as leading or co-author.

Dr. Tamara L. Mangum holds an MD and PhD in Public Health Epidemiology, an MEd in Adult Education, and a BSc in Biological Sciences. She has a wide-range of interests as related to epidemiology, general practice, women’s health, public health, and emergency health management. Dr. Mangum has spent the bulk of her professional career in the developing world, from the Caribbean to the Pacific, working in both applied as well as academic settings. She is an experienced academic, published researcher, and editor, who holds the following appointments:

· Associate Professor of Medical Epidemiology and Emergency Health Management, and Chair of Emergency Health Management, at Fiji National University

· Professor of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, and Associate Chair, at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, St Lucia

· Consultant Medical Epidemiologist to numerous institutions

Dr. Sanyaolu is a Medical Microbiologist with over 20 years of work experience in the area of public health, clinical and teaching duties. Dr. Sanyaolu completed his Bachelor’s (B.Sc Hons, 1989) degree, Master’s (M.Sc., 1992) degree and Doctoral (PhD, 2000) from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. Between the year 2005 and 2006, Dr. Sanyaolu worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the area of Global Health Communicable Diseases at the College of Public Health, Department of Global Health, University of South Florida, Tampa Florida. Also during this period, he worked as a Healthcare Specialist with the Veterans’ Administration (VA) healthcare centre in Tampa Florida. His career experience includes laboratory diagnosis for communicable diseases, teaching / training and research. His public health work experience includes epidemiological surveillance, intervention, outbreak investigation, infectious diseases prevention and control, as well as project coordination and management. He is a member of many professional associations in the UK, Canada and the US.

Dr. Farhad Ali Khan, MBBS, MPH, MSc (Epidemiology), PhD (Epidemiology)

Dr. Khan has worked in Epidemiology industry and academia for over 20 years. He has held positions as a Researcher, Lecturer, Public Health Consultant, Epidemiologist, Editor, and Pharmacovigilance Physician among others in Denmark, Sweden, and the UK. He has contributed to the research of various institutions including Novo Nordisk, Lund University, Karolinska Institute, Symogen Ltd., and QuintilesIMS. Dr. Khan currently holds the position of External Consultant at Lundbeck A/S in Denmark.

Dr. Khaled is an Associate Professor in Medical Statistics and Health Economic Modelling at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU). He has been developing and applying modelling in support of healthcare decision-making nationally and internationally across a large range of diseases, interventions, and service planning and policy issues over the past 17 years. He has delivered many projects over a diverse range of research studies including maternal and child health, CVD disease in the UK and abroad, dementia patients in the UK and abroad, public health problems in Europe and developing countries, and cancer projects. This experience has led me to become a consultant for statistics and quantitative methods at the Royal Statistical Society in London.


From 2015-2017 he was a chairman of the Research Methodology team. The aim of this research team was to promote research design, methodologies, and statistical modelling in the university. He has also held the position of Visiting Professor in Statistics at The Ohio State University in Zanesville, USA. Since 2017, he has held the position of chairman & line manager of Child Health and Epidemiology group. The aim of this theme is to develop and deploy new and improved evidence on the causes and determinants of neonatal and child & maternal morbidity and mortality, on intervention handling, and on the effectiveness of interventions to enlighten and impact the research priorities in this area nationally and internationally. He also has participated as an academic editor for PLUS ONE Journal since 2017.

Dr. Asghar Nazeer holds an MBBS degree from King Edward Medical University and MPH, MHS, and DrPH degrees from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in various fields related to population and family health, biostatistics and epidemiology. He has more than 30 years of experience in public health, epidemiology, population health, research, and clinical medicine. Currently he holds a position as a Medical Epidemiologist in Johns Hopkins Aramco Health Care in Saudi Arabia, a regional center of excellence in GCC countries. 

Dr. Ejaz Khan is a medical doctor with concentration in Public Health and Epidemiology. He is an Associate Professor at the Health Services Academy, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has published widely, and has a current h-impact score of 18.

Dr. Abdul Salam is a proactive, performance-driven Senior Biostatistician with twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 8 years at the management level. He has an exceptional track record and expertise in the statistical aspects of grant writing and protocol development, study designs, sample size calculation, and statistical analysis planning. Dr. Abdul Salam has a Master's Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics and a PhD in Epidemiology. He currently holds the position of Senior Biostatistician and Acting Head of Biostatics Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar.

Dr. Balkishan Sharma holds the position of Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Community Medicine at Sri Aurobindo Medical College and P.G. Institute, Indore (M.P.), India. He collaborates with the medical, dental, paramedical, and nursing departments as a member of the Institutional Research Committee. In this he helps the departments with their research projects by evaluating them for the use of sound and scientific statistical methods. He has 28 years of experience in teaching, administration, and statistical application techniques. He has guided many projects of Ph.D., M.Ch., M.D./M.S./M.D.S., MBBS/BDS, DNB, MPT, M.Sc. (nursing), Audiology and other post-graduate students. He has published 25 research papers in national and international journals and has also served as an editor in various capacities.

Dr. Abdellah Chalh holds an Associate Professor position in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Tunis El Manar (Faculty of Sciences of Tunis) where he is of charge of a number of courses: Biostatistics, Applied Statistics and Probability, Linear Geo-statistics and Biomathematics. In addition to teaching, Abdellah Chalh supervises PhD and MSc theses. He has a recognized experience locally and internationally in statistical analysis. Abdellah Chalh received his B.S. in Animal Biology from the University Cadi Ayyad of Marrakech (Faculty of Sciences Semlalia) of Morocco, and a M.S. (in Animal Ecology), a Doctorate Degree (in Theoretical and Applied Genetics), a Ph.D. degree (Theoretical Biology) and a Habilitation To Supervise Research certificate from the University of Tunis El Manar (Faculty of Sciences of Tunis) of Tunisia.

Dr Lamnisos has a BSc degree in Mathematics and Statistics (University of Cyprus, 2004), and an MSc and PhD degrees in Statistics (University of Warwick, 2010). Currently, Dr Lamnisos is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and acts as the coordinator of the Master and PhD programmes in Public Health at the European University Cyprus. Dr Lamnisos has research interests in multivariate spatial statistics and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with applications in Public Health and Epidemiology. In particular, he is developing spatial factor models for summarizing area-level deprivation indices from census-data and clustering methods for creating the Cyprus national statistics area classification. Furthermore, he has research interest in Bayesian Model Averaging and Bayesian Hierarchical models with applications in Public Health. Specifically, he is developing spatial hierarchical models for disease mapping to investigate the geographical distribution of health data and the social gradient in health across Cypriot communities. All the developed statistical models are implemented in freely accessible software such as R and BUGS using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods. The work he authored/co-authored have been published in high impact journals, and disseminated widely at local and international conferences (EUPHA, ISBA, GEOMED). His teaching experience covers a broad range of statistical subjects, including Biostatistics, Bayesian methods, Multi-level models, Methods for Missing data, Structural Equation Modelling, Meta Analysis and Computational Statistics at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.

Dr. Shih Ting Chiu holds a PhD and MSc in Biostatisticsis. She is a Statistical Consultant and participates in various research collaborations. Her current position is Senior Biostatistician at Providence St. Joseph Health where she heads academic and pharmaceutical industry-funded projects. She has multiple statistical methodology publications and is the reviewer of statistical and medical journals.

Dr. Jiawen Zhu is a Pharmaceutical Global Clinical Statistical Scientist with comprehensive statistical expertise noted for developing novel and innovative approaches to clinical study design. She holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Applied Math and Statistics, and she has strong data analysis skills that she has applied to a broad range of clinical research projects. 

Dr. Shrabanti Chowdhury holds a PhD in Applied Stastics from the University of California, Riverside. She completed her postdoctoral research fellowship of biostatistics in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health at Wayne State University School of Medicine. She is currently a Research Fellow at Icahn School of Mount Sinai in New York.

Dr. Yisong Huang obtained her B.A in Public Health from West China Medical Center of Sichuan University (2007), M.P.H in biostatistics (2011) and Dr. P.H from Jiann-ping Hsu College of Public Health (2016), Georgia Southern University. Her doctoral research focused on model building and experimental design. She has worked as a research specialist for Tasly Pharmaceuticals, and was a research assistant at Georgia Southern University while enrolled in their doctorate program. She is currently completing her postdoctoral research at Georgia Prevention Institution, Dept. of Population Health Sciences, Augusta University.

Dr. Eliana Ibrahimi is an Assistant Professor in Biostatistics at University of Tirana. She holds a PhD in biomedical sciences and is experienced in data management and statistical analysis using SPSS, SAS and R. 

She has actively collaborated with researchers in many areas of health and life sciences.

Dr. Elena Landoni holds a M.Sc. in Biostatistics and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Statistics. She currently works as a Biostatistician at the IRCCS Istituto Nazional dei Tumori Foundation in Milano, Italy.

Dr. Rodriguez-Benitez is an Assistant Professor and was Director of Academic Computing Center in Social Sciences faculty at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) Rio Piedras Campus. For 7 years, she was faculty of the UPR Medical Sciences Campus, where she coordinated and taught Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Methodology courses for postdoctoral scholars and graduate students. She has a broad background in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology with specific training and expertise in neurocognitive impairments and NeuroAIDS. She has expertise and experience in research in HIV, Neuroimaging, Women, Aging, Sexuality, Test construction and Validation. She completed postdoctoral courses in Translational Research in Neuro-AIDS and Mental Health at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU), a summer internship at Mayo Clinic in Applied Biostatistics, and Mount Sinai Summer Institute for NeuroAIDS Disparities (MSINAD) Program at Icahn School of Medicine.

Dr. Souha Fares earned a BS and teaching diploma in mathematics and a masters in modeling and simulation from the Lebanese University. She received a PhD in Statistics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, USA. She is currently an assistant professor of biostatistics in the Hariri School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut (AUB). Dr Fares was awarded the graduate excellence teaching award from Case Western Reserve University. She has an extensive experience in graduate and undergraduate teaching and in statistical training in the health care field. Her main research is on beat-to-beat blood pressure complexity and fluctuation in hypertension and on psychometric validation of research instruments. She is also lead statistician on research related to cardiovascular disease, mental health, quality of life, vitamin D, nursing workforce and continuing education for nurses.

Dr. Kulkarni is an Associate Professor in Statistics and Demography, and a Biostatistical Consultant with 28 years experience of analyzing real data & teaching biostatistics. He is a Medical Demographer with keen interest in statistical computing SPSS, SAS, STATA, Minitab & Excel. He advises PG students & faculty in planning, design and research methods, and analysis and interpretation. He has published more than 60 research papers and is also conducting workshop on SPSS & sample size for postgraduate students.

Dr. Pramod Gupta holds a MSc and PhD in statistics. He completed Postdoctoral research in Statistics and Bioinformatics at various institutions Taiwan, Japan and the Netherlands. He has over 20 years of research experience including 10 years of teaching experience. He currenlty holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at PGIMER in Chandigarh, India.

Dr. Shahab Rezaeian holds MSc and PhD degrees in Epidemiology. He currently holds a faculty position in the Epidemiology Department at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in Iran.

Dr. Ali Kabir is a MD, MPH, PhD with a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Ohio State University, USA. He is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology of Iran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. He has published 140 papers and 5 books. His interests are liver and cardiometabolic diseases, obesity, meta-analysis, and statistical modeling.

Dr. Bairwa is a Medical Doctor and Public Health Secialist. He is a MBBS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, India and MD in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from Pt B D Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, India. Currently, Dr. Bairwa is a Faculty of Public Health and Epidemiology at the Institute of Health Management Research, Centre for Injury Research, and Centre of Health Systems and Policy Research at IIHMR University, Jaipur. He is an Associate at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore (USA). He has had over 30 publications in his credit and has presented more than 20 papers at various national and international conferences. He has earned 10 national and international awards in the public health.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav holds a PhD in Statistics and has more than twelve years of clinical research experience. For 3.5 years of these years he has been involved the management in pharmaceuticals, dedicated primarily to managing biostatistics for all phases of clinical trials. He is well versed to work in science driven discovery (early development), system and innovation driven research, and development (full development) environment from reputed pharma companies with added PhD research and one year lectureship experience at University of Lucknow, India.
