I was born on 3 December 1977 in Baku. Since 2002 I have been working as an ophthalmologist. Since 2004 I have started to be engaged in scientific work at the Azerbaijan Research Eye Institute named after Zarifa Aliyeva. I passed several local and foreign training courses I participated in local and foreign scientific-practical conferences. 15 June 2010 I was awarded 3-th place and diploma for the best report at the V Russian Conference of Young Scientists "Actual questions of ophthalmology" in the framework of IX Russian Congress of Ophthalmologists in Moscow. I represented Azerbaijan at the 10-th EURORETINA Congress in Paris, where I represented 2 poster presentations. In 2012 I received my Ph.D.
My research interest was to study the frequency of development of diabetic retinopathy in metabolic syndrome at patients suffering from type 2 diabetes, influence metabolic syndrome components on the development and progression of diabetic retinopathy, investigate the influence several factors (duration of diabetes, sex, blood pressure, HbA1c, body mass index, age, decompensation index, lipid metabolism) on the prevalence of diabetic retinopathy and also the effect of fenofibrates on the effectiveness of combined treatment (laser treatment + intravitreal injections of Bevacizumab).
