Dr Tamara L. Mangum holds an MD, PhD in Public Health Epidemiology, an MEd in Adult Education, and a BSc in Biological Sciences. She has a wide-range of interests as related to epidemiology, general practice, women’s health, public health, and emergency health management. Dr Mangum has spent the bulk of her professional career in the developing world, from the Caribbean to the Pacific, working in both applied as well as academic settings. She is an experienced academic, published researcher, and editor, who holds the following appointments:
· Associate Professor of Medical Epidemiology and Emergency Health Management, and Chair of Emergency Health Management, at Fiji National University
· Professor of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, and Associate Chair, at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, St Lucia
· Consultant Medical Epidemiologist to numerous institutions
