I have a profound experience as a Public Health Physician, Epidemiologist and Public Health / Medical Officer in conflict and non-conflict settings working with humanitarian international organizations. These positions permitted me to volunteer my skills and expertise to serve the underprivileged populations. Along the way, I have come to develop a strong passion in what I do as a humanitarian and volunteer to serve mankind and to participate in the search for sustainable solutions.
I have developed a strong interest in the fight against infectious diseases in developing countries by searching for new vaccines and medications for neglected diseases, pandemics (HIV, TB and Malaria) and NCDs. These diseases have a very strong negative impact towards development and economic growth in the developing world.
My passion also gave me the opportunity to offer my services to People with Disabilities (PWDs). Through our non-profit organization CASEY TROY FOUNDATION where we have been able to have a platform to provide quality healthcare, education, research and integration of these underprivileged children into the society.

Dr. Sanjay Rathod completed his PhD at the NIV, Pune (INDIA), focusing on the function of T regulatory cells in hepatitis E virus infection. After his PhD, he worked in a private organization developing inhibitors for immune-checkpoint and ROR-γt for treatment of cancer/autoimmune diseases. His leadership roles included teaching and mentoring students. He joined Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh as a postdoctoral research associate in December 2016. His projects involve improving the treatment of pediatric ALL by limiting adverse drug reactions and attaining therapeutic drug exposures. Currently, Sanjay mainly focuses on asparaginase (ASNase), which is among the main drugs used for the treatment of pediatric ALL. Immune responses to ASNase are the most common toxicity of the drug, and, moreover, patients that develop anti-ASNase antibodies during treatment have a higher risk of relapse. Therefore, he is identifying the mechanism of hypersensitivity and an immune response.
